Due to continued growth and further investment in our engineering team, we are looking to take on an additional engineer to assist in the provision of IT services. Working within a small team, you will help to support and service our base of customers who use Select Technology as their preferred supplier of IT hardware/software services. Along with the provision of first class support services; you will be involved in large infrastructure projects involving thin client and virtualisation technologies. With a wide product portfolio that includes Servers, Workstations, AV Equipment, Security products and much, much more, Select Technology have become one of the South East’s leading suppliers of IT solutions.
Experience / Key skills:
· MCSE 2K or above and including Exchange & SQL
· Qualified in VMware (VCP)
· Cisco certification and Terminal Services / Citrix Metaframe experience is desirable
· Experience/knowledge of disaster recovery procedures/systems
· Intelligent, quick logical mind. Ability to analyse and research a problem arriving at a logical solution.
· Substantial IT experience with networking, network operating systems (Windows 2000/2003 AD), desktop operating systems (Windows XP/Vista), back office applications (Exchange, ISA). Database skills, database administration/SQL knowledge and experience. Network analysis experience

Ability to demonstrate excellent “best practise methodology” on large infrastructure change projects

Initiative – able to prioritise and manage own time. Flexibility, ability to learn quickly or under pressure. Responsible. Ability to work in a small team. Well developed communication skills both written and oral.

Key Tasks will include:
·
Be responsible for 2nd and 3rd line telephone and remote support to clients throughout the south east. If necessary onsite support will be required

Supply end-user education and training
·
Involved in the planning and scoping of customer projects
·
Key project resource for customer infrastructure/software implementations
·
Responsible for documentation of work
·
Evaluation and exposure to new technologies and products for resale potential
·
Training will be provided.
Salary & Benefits
Up to £34,000 P/A + Benefits depending on experience
