Educational Sales Consultant – sales executive – education - Kent

Salary: £14-18K Basic + Benefits with OTE £23-£30K

Due to continued growth and further investment in our Educational Sales team, we are looking to take on an additional Sales consultant / Executive to assist in the development of the Educational sales for the company.

You will use your specialist knowledge, experience and sales muscle to build, develop and deliver new business in this fast growing market. If you would like to be part of a successful team, and are keen to help build and develop a sales culture that is the best in its market, and you have the ambition, skills and experience to deliver outstanding results, then this is the job you should consider.

Experience / Key Skills

  • Any experience from within a sales or IT related role would be advantageous although not essential.


    Working within an established team, the successful candidate will need to:

  • Liaise with team members to assist with orders for existing accounts
  • Identify and generate new prospects and convert them into new accounts
  • Develop and manage accounts to their full potential
  • Continually learn and update yourself on product and market knowledge
  • Propose new solutions and ideas to help gain market share in an increasingly competitive market

Corporate Sales Consultant

Due to continued success, we are currently looking for a new Sales Consultant to join our busy Corporate Sales Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong, proven background in IT sales, either from a reseller or distributor background, and should be smart, confident and be able to bring their own experience and ideas to further the growth of one of the South East’s leading IT suppliers.

We’re offering a highly competitive package including an uncapped OTE (Average £28K+) and a selection of benefits to individuals who are able to sell IT solutions and products proactively to medium-sized and large corporates. In order to succeed in this role, you will need to:

· Identify and generate new prospects and convert them into key accounts
· Develop and manage key accounts to their full potential
· Continually learn and update yourself on product and market knowledge

The key skills & requirements we are looking for:

· Proven IT sales track record
· Technical sales specialist preferably within high-end products and/or solutions
· Effective relationship builder
· Self motivation and ambition
· Ability to manage own time and workload

Senior Engineer

Due to continued growth and further investment in our engineering team, we are looking to take on an additional engineer to assist in the provision of IT services. Working within a small team, you will help to support and service our base of customers who use Select Technology as their preferred supplier of IT hardware/software services. Along with the provision of first class support services; you will be involved in large infrastructure projects involving thin client and virtualisation technologies. With a wide product portfolio that includes Servers, Workstations, AV Equipment, Security products and much, much more, Select Technology have become one of the South East’s leading suppliers of IT solutions.

Experience / Key skills:

· MCSE 2K or above and including Exchange & SQL
· Qualified in VMware (VCP)
· Cisco certification and Terminal Services / Citrix Metaframe experience is desirable
· Experience/knowledge of disaster recovery procedures/systems
· Intelligent, quick logical mind. Ability to analyse and research a problem arriving at a logical solution.
· Substantial IT experience with networking, network operating systems (Windows 2000/2003 AD), desktop operating systems (Windows XP/Vista), back office applications (Exchange, ISA). Database skills, database administration/SQL knowledge and experience. Network analysis experience
· Ability to demonstrate excellent “best practise methodology” on large infrastructure change projects
· Initiative – able to prioritise and manage own time. Flexibility, ability to learn quickly or under pressure. Responsible. Ability to work in a small team. Well developed communication skills both written and oral.
· Understands the importance of documentation. Has a “can do” attitude
· Excellent communication skills are paramount. Able to balance working under pressure with a need to escalate and respond to client demand. Polite, courteous and customer focused. Ability to liaise effectively with clients
· Has a commercial awareness, able to identify and communicate opportunities for the sales team to seize

Key Tasks will include:

· Be responsible for 2nd and 3rd line telephone and remote support to clients throughout the south east. If necessary onsite support will be required
· Supply end-user education and training
· Involved in the planning and scoping of customer projects
· Key project resource for customer infrastructure/software implementations
· Responsible for documentation of work
· Evaluation and exposure to new technologies and products for resale potential
· Training will be provided.

Salary & Benefits

Up to £34,000 P/A + Benefits depending on experience

Benefits include company pension scheme, Up to 25 days holiday per annum & a discounted company purchasing scheme.
