Laying the IT foundations

Right from the beginning we laid the foundations for success, implementing the main server infrastructure and providing the IT environment for everything Goatham’s runs on today.

Optimising Wi-Fi

We provided sufficient Wi-Fi coverage that’s easily manageable straight from the cloud resulting in Gotham’s being more efficient. As a truly scalable solution we can add more access points with ease as their business grows.

Moving to the cloud

All Goatham’s IT systems, including bespoke applications have been migrated and now run on the cloud. This has increased up-time, reduced risk and made the business more secure for the future.

Communication and collaboration

Goatham’s have adopted SharePoint, Teams and the rest of the Microsoft 365 suite. This means they are able to connect with customers and co-workers from anywhere which has been invaluable throughout the pandemic. They use Microsoft Teams daily to collaborate with each other, resulting in communication being simpler and more efficient.

We’ve been working with Select Technology for over a decade now and our partnership has gone from strength to strength in that time. The long-term relationship is a testament to the trust we have in them and their ability to recommend the best technology to enable us to expand and grow. About the Client

Founded in 1947 by Arthur Conference Goatham, the family business is now run by his son Clive and grandson Ross. They’re proud of being British, passionate about their countryside roots and have strong family values that have stood the test of time.

Their growing business has been all about the British apples and pears and has grown from two farms to currently farming 3000 acres of top quality British fruit. They have been supplying supermarkets since the 1980’s and have acquired close relationships with Sainsbury’s, Aldi, Iceland and Morrison’s. In addition to their own production of around 50,000 tonnes of fruit each year they also work with a number of partner growers.

Their future lies in sticking to what they have always done and done best. Growing Great British.
