What you’ll be doing

  • You will identify, pursue, and win new managed service customers in the Kent/East Sussex and wider southeast region.
  • You will also manage inbound leads, determining suitability with our services.
  • In addition to inbound leads, you will be able to self-generate new leads and opportunities.
  • Work with our lead generation agency to maximise on leads and opportunities. · Produce high level budgetary roadmaps, as part of the sales process, based on the prospect’s technology maturity and our best practices.
  • Own the new managed service business pipeline, providing stakeholders with monthly reports and narrative.
  • Create a sales playbook for managed service clients, optimising the process.
  • Confidently deliver exceptional presentations to new prospects, from individuals to a group board.
  • Attend networking and industry specific events, raising awareness and seeking new opportunities.
  • Update and nurture our CRM system, developing suspects and prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Work closely with our marketing team on lead generation strategies.

What will you bring to the table? 

  • Strong organisational, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to present to a mixture of audiences, including IT Managers, Finance Directors, Business Owners, COOs.
  • Experience of selling successfully to SMB, SME, and public sector organisations.
  • Skill in strategic planning with an ability to think ahead and plan over a 6-12 month time span.
  • Up to date knowledge of Microsoft technologies including 365 and Azure.
  • Demonstrable experience of selling managed services.
  • Skill in planning and preparing written communications.
  • Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
  • Positive and passionate about technology.

The nitty gritty details

  • The salary range is £40,000 to £50,000 depending on your experience and qualifications plus a competitive commission package.
  • After an initial office-based training period, you’ll need to come into our office in Paddock Wood for a minimum of 2 days a week, but the rest of the time you’re free to work from home. We like the team to bond, share ideas and help each other out, and as much as we love technology, there’s no substitute for face-to-face.
  • Our working hours are 9:00 – 5:30 Monday to Friday, but sometimes we might ask you to be a bit flexible on this for events.
