Jo Wimble-Groves is a successful tech entrepreneur and the co-owner of an award-winning global communications company called Active Digital that she runs with her brother Richard. In 2021, they celebrated their 25th work anniversary and they continue to deliver mobile, broadband and digital transformation solutions to UK organisations. Their clients include the Premier League, Crew Clothing, British Gymnastics, Saracens and Sanofi to name just a few. Jo is a mum of three and a passionate advocate of women and girls.
As a keynote speaker, Jo recognises that there is a gap in girls considering a career in STEM and so she regularly attends schools to be a role model for young people looking to develop a career in tech. In 2010, Jo was named as one of Management Today’s “35 under 35” as seen in The Sunday Times as well as winning Entrepreneur of the Year in the Everywoman in Tech Awards 2020 sponsored by FDM. About Simon
Simon is an accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach and Sports Therapist, who has worked in the field of human performance for 25 years. He worked for the prestigious Formula One Team McLaren for 14 years, as Driver Performance Manager. His responsibilities included managing the athletic development of over 20 professional racing drivers, in 14-series of racing and facilitated 16 championship wins. He had notable success supporting three drivers from grassroots and entry formula, through to Formula One and Two, winning their respective championships in the process.
His company, FORMULA TO PERFORM is a culmination of almost three decades of service to human performance; providing drivers with a proven preparation strategy and system to optimise their winning potential. Simon has been working with Active Digital on their wellbeing at work program for over a year. Through his program, he shares what he has learnt from elite athletes and entrepreneurs on discovering why optimizing your human performance is integral to the success of every business. In 2021, Simon and Jo created ‘The Active Digital Podcast’ and in series one they covered some brilliant conversations with guests on wellbeing, work-life balance, growth mindset and everything in-between.
